Java and Tai-Ten
Java is a gold maned Tamarin. He travels from tree to tree carrying he infant sister on his back. They don't stay in one place for too long. If they do, they risk the chance of running into predators or even other larger family's of Tamarin. Java's mother and father were attacked by a leopard, leaving his little sister in his care. She is small and still so vulnerable, but Java hopes he can keep her safe, giving her the chance to live out her life and raise a family of her own.
Tai-ten is a young male in training to become a great sage. His master is constantly traveling, forcing Tai-ten to follow him on his journey and learn from every encounter they come across. Tai-ten wears a horned headband that is connected to a long golden mane. He crafted it himself hoping to be distinguished from all previous sages. He wants to be great and powerful so he can make a change in the world he lives in. Tai-ten's parents were killed in a house fire when he was young. He happened to run away that evening after having a fight with his parents. He regrets everyday that he left his parents, but he is lucky to be alive and lives everyday like it is his last. He refuses to sit and waste time when there is so much to do.
